Student Life
Students at Rosedale can expect life on campus to be filled with intentional community, personal and spiritual growth, extracurricular activities, fun events, and challenging experiences to help them discover who they are.
Campus
Situated roughly 30 miles from Columbus, our 166-acre campus provides a peaceful, safe space for students to learn, become, and ask hard questions, while still offering easy access to the city’s cultural opportunities.
Campus buildings include the student center (which contains the gym, the cafeteria, and a social space for students,) a classroom building, the library-chapel-office complex, men’s and women’s dormitories, and staff and married student apartments.
Explore Program
At Rosedale, learning is not limited to the classroom . . . we want students to integrate their faith, life and study into one holistic way of being in the world.Â
As part of our core curriculum, our Explore Program requires every student to spend 20-25 hours per year in the local community, serving, learning, growing, and being challenged. Opportunities range from inner-city ministry, to children’s ministries, prison ministries, and local needs assistance—all with the purpose of creating a place where real faith meets real life.
Chapel
Our students gather for chapel twice a week to spend time fostering their relationships with Jesus and reorienting themselves toward him. The service format varies widely throughout the year—sometimes there is teaching and worship, other times the entire service is dedicated to prayer—but no matter the format, deepening our relationship with Christ is always the goal.
Discipleship Groups
As a student at Rosedale, you’ll meet with a Discipleship Group every week. Your group will be four or five students and a staff or faculty mentor. The mentor will not only walk with your group through a series of lessons about growing as followers of Jesus, but is also available to help you process your studies and next steps on an individual basis.
Extracurricular Activities

This select touring choir performs a variety of music at weekend shows and does a 10-day tour in the spring semester. Hear samples, buy recordings, and see their itinerary here.
Annual Drama Production
Students who are interested in performing or contributing behind the scenes can participate in our annual theatrical production, directed by our drama instructor, Charissa Rabenstein.
Salt & Light Co.
This group’s music blends tight vocals with acoustic instruments for a folk and world music sound. The company does weekend tours throughout the year and an extended tour between sessions. Auditions are held during fall semester.
Intramural Sports
There is a wide range of organized intramural sports and informal pick-up games available on campus, including volleyball, basketball, Ultimate, Roundnet, soccer and disc golf.
