Streams of Living Water

A few of us at RBC purchased two calves this spring. Our plan is to raise them and fill our freezers once they have reached their fattened state. Last week I went to water the calves, and the hydrant refused to offer up its water. No amount of coaxing, jiggling, or moving of the lever changed the situation. A repair was needed.

There are seasons that leave us feeling dry and in need of repair. Jesus makes a promise in John 7 that speaks to my soul. He invites all who thirst to come to Him and drink. To the tired, the weary, and those overwhelmed by life, Jesus says, “let them come to Me and drink.”

The other promise Jesus offers is that those who drink His water will also produce streams of refreshment for others.

In the heat of this July, I pray you will spend time with Jesus, drinking the cool water of His presence.
