My goodness, this year is fun already!
On the first day of class in the Trades Program, director Titus Beitzel broke students up into construction teams and instructed the students to make a materials list for the storage sheds they will build over the next several weeks. After making the lists, the teams traveled to Lowes and Home Depot to practice tying down loads on a trailer, putting together purchase orders, and other necessary skills related to contractor/building supplier interactions.
After the students made their purchase at Home Depot, one of them said to the cashier, “God bless you!” As they turned to walk away, the cashier called back to them and began to tell them about her granddaughter who was in a coma and asked if they would pray for her. The students gathered around her and began to pray.
I feel grateful to God for the students He is sending our way, and for the opportunity they have to grow and minister to others along the way.
Please pray for us. We have a full and energetic campus and long for Jesus to transform all of our lives over the course of this year.
