Discover Rosedale – What is it?

Discover Rosedale is your chance to see for yourself. Arrive on Thursday evening, and leave on Friday afternoon. In between, you’ll get a chance to sit in class with our students, attend chapel, eat in our cafeteria and join us for a campus activity.

If you’d like to schedule individual meetings with faculty, admissions or financial aid personnel, we’ll give you a chance to do that, as well.

For groups of three or more accompanied by an adult chaperone, we offer partial gas reimbursement (we use a per-mile rate) up to $100.

If you’d rather find a time to come to campus by yourself, or with a smaller group, feel free to register for an individual visit below.

Discover Rosedale – When is it?

Discover Rosedale happens twice a year; once in the fall and once in early spring. The dates for Discover Rosedale in the current academic year are below.

October 14-15, 2021
March 3-4, 2022

Your Question Not Here?

Ask us  your question!

We want you to get the best taste of Rosedale and what we do as a college! We’ve designed a weekend that helps you get to know our students and faculty, and allows you to learn with us for a weekend. We ask that you participate and follow the schedule. If there are certain questions or conflicts, let us know, and we will be flexible to meet your needs.

We also strive to ensure that our campus is a safe environment for everyone. We reserve the right to ask any student or chaperone judged by the Office of Student Life or the director of Enrollment Services in consultation with the Office of Student Life to be acting in a violent, aggressive, vulgar, destructive, bullying, suggestive or otherwise excessively disruptive or offensive manner to leave campus.

Should such a situation occur, the office of Student Life will review the situation to see if any additional steps need to be taken.

Campus guests stay in Rosedale’s residence halls with current students, unless other arrangements are requested. If you’re for any reason uncomfortable with this arrangement, please e-mail enrollment services, or mention it on your registration form.

There is on campus lodging available to chaperones as well. We will contact you directly if you are listed as a group leader or you can send us an e-mail.

Absolutely! You can submit a roommate request by e-mail or along with your Discover Rosedale registration. We can’t make any guarantees, but we’ll take your request into account when we assign rooms.

Please bring a sleeping bag or sheets for a single bed, pillow, and personal bathroom items.

Feel free to dress comfortably for your time with us, and remember that autumn and spring weather in central Ohio can be hot, cold, windy, warm, rainy, or sunny. You’ll have the option of participating in athletic activities while you’re on campus, and if you’d like to participate, remember to bring along clothes and shoes that are suitable for a gym.

Arrival is 7:00 pm on Thursday. Please register in the student center when you arrive. The time concludes on Friday at 3 pm. If you are planning to arrive before 7:00 on Thursday, or not until Friday morning, please make arrangements with the Enrollment Services Coordinator.
