Anthony L. Rivers, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who has practiced in the Columbus and Dayton areas for the past 14 years. He has worked in the social services field for the past 24 years. Dr. Rivers is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Ohio Psychological Association. Dr. Rivers provides counseling and psychotherapy to children, teens, and families. He also offers parents behavior management skills and parent training so that they are better equipped to parent their children and teenagers. He conducts psychological assessments for cognitive functioning (e.g. IQ tests), ADHD, depression, anxiety, and other problems. His other areas of specialty include working with teenage issues, child depression and anxiety, grief and bereavement, and helping parents determine if their child’s behavior is a “phase” or a more serious concern. Anthony brings an abundance of experience and a Biblical perspective into his Introduction to Psychology course.
