Thank you for your interest in Rosedale Bible College . . . and welcome! In this college you will not only find a place to grow academically, but also a community that will help you get to know Jesus and his Word in a deeper way and discern his calling on your life. For much of our existence RBC was a Bible Institute, which provided a small, informal, atmosphere focused almost exclusively on Bible training and spiritual formation. In the past decade, we have taken many steps to build on this core by broadening Rosedale's academic experience. Now RBC is a unique hybrid of sorts, combining the best of our history as a Bible Institute with the academic strength of our emergence as a college.
RBC has maintained many of the strengths resulting from its Bible Institute DNA, including:
- A focus on Bible training (Our current catalog lists over 35 courses in Bible/ Theology/Ministry!)
- A dynamic spiritual formation program (The “Rosedale Experience” is life-changing!)
- High student conduct expectations (Guidelines from music to modesty help foster a campus atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth.)
- Smaller size (80–110 students) provides a family atmosphere and encourages deep friendships
- Shorter terms, so that even non degree-bound students have viable study options (Our six-week winter term remains a fixture of the schedule, and semesters are only twelve weeks long)
- Lower costs (A year at RBC is less than half the cost of most Christian colleges.)
- Instructors committed to ministry (Almost all RBC faculty have pastoral or missions experience.)
As an accredited college, an RBC education also includes many of the benefits of an accredited higher education experience, including:
- Transfer of credit (In the past few years RBC students have successfully transferred credit into over 55 colleges and universities.)
- Broader course offerings (In addition to our Bible/Theology courses, RBC now offers 25 General Education courses in a variety of other disciplines.)
- Highly trained professors (All of the RBC resident faculty have earned a Master’s degree or higher in their respective disciplines.)
- Increased Financial Aid (RBC students will receive over $300,000 in financial aid this year.)
- College-level support services (Our 13,500 volume library, 70+ periodicals, computer labs, other technologies, and academic counseling all support the student’s learning experience.)
- Awarding of academic degrees (RBC grants associate degrees and one year certificates authorized by government and accrediting bodies.)
- More academic concentrations than ever before (Now you can choose from nine different concentrations including Bible, Theology, Education, Business, Pastoral Studies, Youth Ministries, Missions, Music and Worship, and General Studies.)
RBC’s blending of the spiritual impact of a Bible institute experience with the academic advantages of a college education has resulted in a unique package that can truly offer you “the best of both worlds.” So, I invite you to learn more about Rosedale Bible College and consider how this small college can be a part of your life’s preparation as you seek first the Kingdom of God!
